Song Song
a song
by marco
From the full length album Soffty Fasnfftof
(Some old folk for the young folk and some new folk for the old folk.)

I got a song I wrote today
Thought up the music the other day
Came up with the words and the chorus line

I got a song it goes like this
Sounds kinda country with a little bit of soul
A little too mellow for rock and roll

I got a song I wrote in school
Right in the middle of English Class
Added the music the following day

[CH]
Here is my chorus line
Not too bright but it’s catchy
Listen to my chorus line
Daddy addy oop op eh

I got a song about politics
Buerocrats and all them [*&^%]
All about how they get their kicks

I got a song about sour grapes
Kinda people who make you hate
Just when you feel like callin’ it quits.

[ CH ]

I got a song about hatin’ guts
Kind of people who drive ya nuts
Just when you feel like beating ’em up

I got a song I’ll sing for you
Only if you got a minute or two
If you don’t then be on your way

Hua Yanjun he is not – a poem by marco

Hua Yanjun he is not.
a poem

Cherry Blossoms yes.
Sakura makes me pensive.
Songs and plants both.
And so does Abing’s China*

Takes me back to the Dogwoods of my childhood
Pink and Purple
Or blue to someones’ eye maybe.

One guy tries to show
He’s culturally aware
Where it comes to China
So he founds a festival

He calls it MatsuriFest
Despite its translation as Festival Fest
Like an ATM machine,
Or automatic teller machine machine.
Not to mention that’s Japanese, not Chinese.

And I’ve never seen a Tanuki

Abing, His Music, and Its Changing Meanings by Jonathan P.J. Stock
